Yes, a yoga mat, block, and straps are provided at the studio.

Over the 12 weeks the postures will become more challenging. Wear comfortable and stretchy sports clothing. Many people like to ensure they can do a lunge in joggers, without it restricting movement. Some people like to check that that t-shirts stay tucked in when you lift your arms above the head. Yoga is done barefoot. For safety of grip, socks will be asked to be removed.

Yes beginners are welcome in this class. No prior experience is required. There is often a range of needs catered to by Yoga Holly, and you can choose the option to suit your body in class.

Sports Yoga classes will always offer a range of posture intensity to cater to different needs. This is a traditional hatha yoga class, which may be different in style to other classes you have attended. This class is not a flow class where moves link together. It is designed to move through key areas of the body to support the common challenges for sports and active people.

Yes. In all classes the teacher will observe your postures and offer suggestions where necessary. In class I aim to use verbal corrections where possible, and occasionally to seek consent to adjust the body through touch. If you prefer not to receive feedback or to be touched, you can signal this during the payment process. You can also change your mind at any point by letting the instructor know.

The data you provide during registration for the class will be used to communicate with you about these classes only. Marketing will only be sent if you sign up to the mailing list. I never sell or share your data. Should you opt to follow on social media your data may be analysed to improve my products and services. You can unfollow at any time.

You have paid for a 12 week programme, and it is your responsibility to attend. No refunds can be given for illness and injury. It is helpful to let the teacher know if you will miss a class or run late so that starting is not delayed for others.

Yes. I have taken a 200 hour yoga teacher training course, continuous professional development, and hold insurance.
Joining the yoga programme is done at your own risk. You should ensure you are fit and well to attend a yoga class, and seek appropriate medical advice where necessary. Yoga is not a substitute for appropriate physiotherapy or other support.

It’s important to let Holly know about any injury or illness, as some yoga postures and practices may not be suitable for everyone. Particularly if anything changes during the programme.
In class, alternative actions will be given where needed to support your yoga practice. Any advice regarding the benefits of yoga postures is not classed as medical advice.
